I love it! The image reeks "old school." The lighting, composition, and pose are exquisite.

The highlights on the brow, hair, nose, and whiskers are "spot on," as well as the processing of the open shadows. Note the brightened background behind the head, the darkened corners, and the dull reflections on the metal surfaces of the tripod head and camera body. Also note the absence of reflections in the eyeglass lenses!

My only quibble, and it really is nit picking, is the burned out highlight in the fold of the fabric on the sleeve of the left arm. Looking at the image from some distance it becomes more apparent.

The composition leads you directly to the subject's left eye. This is not a mirror shot with a flipped negative, is it? My guess is that you have another shutter release in your other hand, triggering the camera that actually took the photo!

In two words, the image is "simply superb!"
