Is it true, as the novelist Cees Nooteboom once wrote, that memory is like a dog that lies down where it pleases? Where do the long, lazy summers of our childhood go? Why, as we grow older, does time seem to condense, speed up and elude us, while in old age, significant events from our distant past can seem as vivid and real as what happened yesterday?
Yayayayaya...only 53 days left until my 65th birthday!!!!
Congratulations on your upcoming brthday!
I notice the same things about my memory as you do. I can recall my childhood events so well but for the life of me can't remember what I had for breakfast half the time!
Christmas and birthdays always took SO LONG to come around when I was young and now I swear we just had christmas a couple of months ago and here it is again already, and I haven't even hit 50 yet!!
As for your question...I've no answer, save for this:
AEvery day that passes, we feel the shadow of the day before, and sometimes that shadow is so bright that it stays with us every moment....

Anything written like this: -This too, will pass.- or
-blahblah.- should be concidered a big compliment. It's a little tidbit on what your art made me think. Part of a story that exists no where but in your art.

जीव अनुरज श्वसिहि मदेन live love breathe with passion
and so it is bernt ... i guess time flies a lot faster as we age and loose our innocence more and more... thing tend to be not as honest as they were when we were children ... love, firendship, anger, and even hate, were much simpler ... nowdays everything has to have so many aspects and i ask myself jjust bloody why ?!? and i guess the speeding up time tries to remind us that we have it less and less to make peace ... with our friends, more important with our big and small enemies ... but what is most important with ourselves
and artists ...? well theyve got the worst case scenario ... they live long to observe as much asthey can ... and maybe, just maybe make somedifference not just in those individuals that every man meets daily, but also in those whom they never met...
but thats just me :] dont get suggested my friend :]

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
